It's easy to fall into the trap of a basic pool when working with a simple site. In transforming a flat site into an extraordinary backyard escape, we embraced the challenge to innovate beyond conventional pool designs. This fantastic project, locally-famous and known as 'the pool with a fish tank,' integrates seamlessly into its surroundings while offering distinctive features that set it apart. Inspired by the serene Burleigh Heads headland, our design employs natural hues and textures, integrating raised water features, hidden gardens, and a unique fish tank beneath the deck. The intricacies of this ambitious setup allows separate temperature control for the heated spa and cooler pool, enhancing functionality without compromising aesthetic unity. Elements include in-pool lounges with 20mm porcelain tiles that define a shallow wading area, ideal for relaxation. The fully-tiled spa, enriched with a view of African cichlid fish, adds a vibrant touch of nature, visible through glass viewing windows. The spa and lounges offer a view back to the house and an outdoor TV area, ensuring a connected and immersive environment. Our client envisioned a pool that harmoniously blends with their home, delivering a 'wow' factor with practical elegance. The project features: - Seamless integration with house and patio. - Undercover lounge for all-weather relaxation. - Heated spa for year-round enjoyment. We employed the best technology and high-quality materials to realize this vision: - Pentair variable speed pumps and Maytronics ozone chlorinators ensure efficient water management. - Evo heaters and Dead Sea minerals in the spa provide a luxurious, therapeutic experience. - Spa Electric lighting and a custom, knife-edge design align the spa perfectly with the patio’s level. This project not only fulfils but exceeds client expectations, creating a landmark feature for their home, and setting new standards in our bespoke pool designs.
